Scuba Adventures For Everyone & DIVEHEART

Scuba Adventures For Everyone supports S.A.F.E., our local non-profit serving our surrounding communities. Together with Diveheart we offer the most comprehensive Dive Buddy Training available.

Learn how to support a person with limited abilities adapt to make scuba diving a part of their lives. From empathy training to hands on skills in the pool you will learn to be the link that makes gravity free available to someone one in need.

Cost

  • Approximately $40.00 – 70.00 for manual (Free with kindleunlimited) paid to Amazon
  • Approximately e-Learn $215.00 – 265.00 paid to Diveheart
  • Practical Water & Empathy Training $300.00 paid to S.A.F.E.

Dive Buddy - Prerequisites

  • PADI Open Water Diver
  • Minimum of 15 years old
  • Certified Open Water diver, or equivalent, with at least
  • 20 logged dives
  • Been diving, or taken a refresher course, in the past two years
  • Have current CPR/First Aid/AED training (must be good through the entire course)
  • Proficient in scuba skills including buoyancy control

Advanced Dive Buddy - Prerequisites

  • PADI Open Water Diver
  • Minimum of 18 years old
  • Minimum of Certified Rescue Diver, or equivalent
  • 40 logged dives
  • Been diving, or taken a refresher course, in the past two years
  • Have current CPR/First Aid/AED training
  • Have current CPR/First Aid/AED training (must be good through the entire course)
  • Proficient in scuba skills including buoyancy control
  • RECOMMENDED that candidate has a Full Face Mask Certification

*Pre-requisite to certification: 30 experiences working with adaptive divers underwater, a minimum of 15 having taken place in open water environments.

Class Structure

The course consists of knowledge, practical skills, empathy training and open water dives.

  • Read the Diveheart Adaptive Diver manual prior to pool sessions
  • Take the Diveheart e-Learning prior to pool sessions
  • Sign up for a S.A.F.E. training course
  • Fill out your medical prior to pool sessions
  • Be prepared to fill out forms at your first pool session
  • Participate in practical water & empathy training
  • Open water weekend or an adaptive tropical trip
